Parent SIMS App & Google Classroom

Parent SIMS App

​

We use the SIMS Parent app to enable parents to receive up-to-date information regarding their child.  The SIMS Parent app is a secure online service through which you can access information through a PC or mobile device.

 

Parents/guardians will be able to view:

​

  • Lurgan JHS academic calendar;

  • Individual pupil timetable;

  • Contact and medical details of your son/daughter, which can be changed;

  • Achievement points your child is awarded in school;

  • Academic reports (paper copies will no longer be available but can be downloaded from the app).

 

The app will be rolled out to all parents of new Year 8 pupils in September.

 

The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store when you search for SIMS Parent App.  Parents/guardians who do not wish to use the app will be able to access the service online via www.sims-parent.co.uk.

Google Classroom

​

Google Classroom is the cloud based platform in which school work, homework and resources can be accessed. Google Classroom is the platform that Lurgan JHS will be using to ensure homework is set and to upload digital versions of classroom resources and booklets. Parent/Guardian summaries will ensure all parents/carers are kept aware of pupil progress. Google Classroom is available via the Web, Mobile and Tablet devices.
