What Is Involved?

Lurgan JHS has a proud tradition of hockey and teams practise regularly after school and play mid-week Mid Ulster league and cup competitions. There is also a strong Saturday morning programme which gives girls the opportunity to compete against hockey playing schools from across the province. Girls are encouraged to attend practices and represent Lurgan JHS on one of the many teams. Past pupils have achieved representative honours at both Ulster and Irish level.

Last season saw the introduction of a Friday afternoon session for boys. Mr Ivor Lennon is in charge of the coaching sessions which is proving to be a popular after school activity.
