What Is Involved?

In Coding Club, the students will have the opportunity to develop their ICT and coding skills in a fun way.  Pupils will get the opportunity to work with software such as Scratch, Microbit and Minecraft. Pupils will learn how to build their own computer animations and even create their own websites using HTML coding! Coding Club accommodates all abilities and levels of experience. Each year, we aim to get the pupils involved in coding competitions, such as the TechKnow Challenge and Digital DNA, to showcase their programming skills. In June 2019 members of the LJHS Coding Club went on a trip to Queen’s University Belfast to see the many different projects that the students there are doing including using Virtual Reality.
