Stranger Danger

PSNI have asked pupils, staff and parents to be aware of ‘stranger danger’ after a report of an incident (Mourne Road Area) earlier in the week. During the incident one of our pupils was approached by an unidentified male.

PSNI community officers are stepping up local patrols and ask that all of our pupils are vigilant and advise them to walk home with other friends when possible.

North South Ministerial Council Project

Twelve schools from across Ireland were selected to take part in the North South Ministerial Council funded project.  Each school developed a short film using digital media.  Mr Addley, Mr Logan and Mrs FitzGerald worked with 9AY on the project.  9Ay worked enthusiastically and produced amazing media clips.  Our chosen topic was the Ulster Plantation and the impact of migration then and also today.  We surveyed our Newcomer pupils and parents to obtain a current perspective.  Four pupils will be travelling to Dublin on Wednesday 18th May to represent LJHS and showcase their short film at the Irish Film Institute.
