Over this year the pupils from 10BZ have been learning first hand what it is like to run your own business. From designing, manufacturing and marketing the pupils have worked hard bringing a product unto the market place which proved popular with the consumers.
Their main product this year was novelty pens which were manufactured using a CNC milling machine.
We attended a trade fair at Rushmere shopping centre where we got the opportunity to test our sales skills on real life consumers. We were very grateful to Mr Ervine, our teacher and Emma from the Ulster Bank who encouraged us so much as our Business Advisor.
As well as presenting our ideas to the public ,we had to convince the judges that we had a good business plan. Young Enterprise made a video of our production technique.
We had great support from the public and almost sold all our pens. Can you identify the two satisfied customers who purchased pens from our stand?
Zoom is still open for business and if you would like to purchase a pen, please contact us through school.
