The Environmental Club have been hard at work at the start of the growing season. They have been preparing seed trays with fresh compost and sowing seedlings.
So far we are trying to grow a range of flowers for window box displays and to be planted out when we refurbish the “Secret Garden”.
These so far include marigold, nasturtium, lobelia, pansy, busy lizzie, and petunia.
We have also been working getting the greenhouse ready. We plan to go “Italian” and will grow three different varieties of tomatoes, peppers and a variety of herbs. We think there will be nothing more tasty than eating some italian food made from our own produce.
While we were working in the green house, we discovered this spider.
Environmental club is great fun. Keep logging on to see our progress.
